Universal Orlando ticket choices: how to match a ticket to your day

We chose one-day Park-to-Park tickets for our Universal day because we wanted to visit both parks and ride the Hogwarts Express. Your best ticket depends on how many days you have, which parks you want and how you want to spend each day.

First decide how many park days you want

Start with your itinerary rather than a ticket deal. Are you planning one full day, several days, or a mix of park and resort time? Consider opening hours, travel between parks and how much you realistically want to fit into each day.

A multi-day ticket may be useful if you want more time, but compare its total cost and conditions against your schedule. Ticket names, park access and offers can change, so check the current official or authorised seller details before buying.

When Park-to-Park mattered for us

For our August 2026 visit, our family of three paid £471.96 for one-day Park-to-Park tickets. We visited Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure on the same day. Access to both parks also mattered because we wanted to take the Hogwarts Express between them.

We rode Hagrid’s and VelociCoaster, visited the Wizarding World areas, ate at Three Broomsticks and stayed for the evening show. Our ticket price is a historical cost for that trip, not today’s price.

Check what the ticket actually allows

Before paying, verify the visit dates, number of days, parks included, whether park-to-park access is included, and any reservation or date restrictions. Check the seller’s cancellation and change terms too. If travelling with children or anyone with ride preferences, make sure the planned day feels manageable rather than trying to do everything.

Plan the day around your must-dos

We picked our priority rides before we arrived. The Universal app helped us order food at Three Broomsticks. Build in time to move between areas, eat and take a break; a ticket that includes more access doesn’t mean you have to rush through every attraction.
