• Stay in a villa with a pool instead of a hotel. For a family of four or more, it is almost always cheaper and you get way more space.
• Fly into Orlando International (MCO) and book your car hire from the UK before you go — insurance is included when you book from here.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Best for: Families who want a mix of adventure, shows, and jaw-dropping scenery.
Vegas is not just for stag dos! The resort pools are incredible for kids, the shows are world-class, and you are a short drive (or helicopter ride!) from the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Red Rock Canyon.

New York City, New York
Best for: Families who love cities, culture, shopping, and iconic landmarks.
There is nowhere on Earth quite like New York City. Times Square, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, Broadway shows, and pizza on every corner. It is fast, loud, exciting, and unforgettable.

• Skip the hop-on-hop-off buses. The subway is cheap, fast, and a genuine New York experience. Buy an Unlimited MetroCard for the week.
• Book the Empire State Building at sunset (see our Experiences page) — it is the best time slot.
• Stay in Midtown Manhattan for the best location. Look at hotels on 8th or 9th Avenue — same area, lower prices than Times Square itself.
California
Best for: Families who want beaches, road trips, and Disneyland.
California is massive and has something for everyone. Los Angeles for Hollywood and beaches, San Francisco for the Golden Gate Bridge, San Diego for the zoo, and Anaheim for Disneyland California.
